Ex - Economic Hitman Commentary on Islam

In this short clip from Talking Stick TV (airs Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m. Pacific on Seattle Community Media), John Perkins described that Islam is not religion of anger but in contrary is a compassionate and loving religion. He is the Author of Bestseller book "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" a book about his story when he was an "Economic Hitman".

John Perkins (b. January 28, 1945 in Hanover, New Hampshire) is an author. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador from 1968–1970 and this experience launched him in the world of economics and writing. His best known book is Confessions of an Economic Hit Man (2004), which claims that Third World countries are "neo-colonalized" by what Perkins describes as a cabal of corporations, banks, and the United States government. Critics such as columnist Sebastian Mallaby of the Washington Post reacted sharply to Perkins' book[1]: "This man is a frothing conspiracy theorist, a vainglorious peddler of nonsense, and yet his book, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, is a runaway bestseller." Mallaby, who spent 13 years writing for the London Economist and wrote a critically well-received biography of World Bank chief James Wolfensohn,[2] holds that Perkins' conception of international finance is "largely a dream" and that his "basic contentions are flat wrong."[1]

Biography

Perkins graduated from the Tilton School in 1963. He subsequently attended Middlebury College for two years before dropping out due to lackluster grades. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Boston University in 1968. He spent the 1970s working for the Boston strategic-consulting firm Chas. T. Main, where he was employed after first being screened by the National Security Agency (NSA) and subsequently hired by Einar Greve,[3] a member of the firm (and alleged NSA liaison, a claim which Greve has denied).
In the 1980s Perkins founded and directed a successful independent energy company. In the book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, Perkins states that he suspects the success of his company was due to 'coincidences' orchestrated by those appreciative of his silence about the work he did as an economic hit man.
Perkins and his role as an economic hitman is the main theme in part II of the movie Zeitgeist: Addendum, released in October 2008. He also appears in Boris Malagurski's documentary film The Weight of Chains, released in December 2010, and the documentary movie Let's Make Money (in German) by the Austrian director Erwin Wagenhofer, released October 2008.

ISLAM VS MOSLEM

If we want to know the truth about Islam, don’t judge it from the Moslem, the same way we use to judge other faith or religion. We can’t just evaluate for example Judaism from the Jews, because like in other community there are bad people and there are good people. But we must learn about a religion as a faith from its main sources which is their holy book and how the life of the messenger that carries that message. In this matter for Islam are the Quran and the life of Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h.

The media role now days can be critical, often they blew up news about small extremist minority and picture them as representation of Moslem and Islam. While the vast majority of Moslem who live a normal and peaceful life for generation in many areas and countries are rarely or never enter the news. Maybe one of the reasons is because ‘the classic media perceptions’ which is bad news is good news.

So get yourself a copy of Quran and a book about the life of Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. and read it right away and eventually you can conclude about Islam by yourself not by the media or the society told you. And May Allah shows us the straight path. Aaaameeennnnn.

Facebook or Fakebook?

Who can guarantee that our new friends at facebook have an actual identity and information? From just a simple lie like name, marital status, age or jobs until the extreme example like 60 years old dude who pretend to be 16 years old teen girl. So, their complete existence is base on lies. The dark side of facebook often we knew about it later either from local news or our friend’s bad experiences, from things like divorce, child predator, human trafficking, character assassination and maybe many other sick things we don’t even want to know.
Often the addiction comes from appreciation and gratification, the more comments on our status the more we become addicted to it. Well, is not always a bad thing and sometimes even is a good thing. But it is always bad if we have a fake identity or information, it means we find appreciation from our fake identity as if we have double life (in reality and virtual) and eventually we can become sick emotionally.
Real life example such as divorce case begins from a wife who gets more appreciated on line than in real life. From a simple thing like that, in time the wife prefers to live her second life (on line) than in real life. The problem becomes greater because she did not do her obligation in household and the husband didn’t aware and cannot handle this issue.
There’s a Hadist narrated from one of the companions of the Prophet pbuh, Abu Hurairah ra: You will find from the most evil people in the Day of Judgment in the eyes of Allah, the men who have two different faces (munafiq). Those who have came to this group of people with this face and come to other group with that (other) face.
In other places, the two face person (munafiq) will be placed in the deepest fire of hell. Na’udzubillah, may Allah protect us from that attitude, protect us from the evil things from facebook and other social media. And on the contrary we can make benefit from it, especially we hope it can make us a better person and better servant to our Lord. Aaaameeeennn.

New Year's Resolution

New Year ’s Eve is a perfect time to reflect and contemplate. What we have prepare for the next day, next month, next year and so on. But often we forget about our preparation for the real “next day”, and that is the next life after this worldly life.

So, here I’ll give you a few verses from the Quran about the afterlife or hereafter. Hope it will be useful and at least it can be something to think about. Aaaameeenn…. J

Verses about the Hereafter

Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah" and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish], As accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful." (Fussilat 41:31-32)

[For the believers are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk. And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative - He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]." (Faatir 35:33-35)

And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment, [while] flowing beneath them are rivers. And they will say, "Praise to Allah , who has guided us to this; and we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us. Certainly the messengers of our Lord had come with the truth." And they will be called, "This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do." (Al-‘Araaf 7:43)

Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal (i.e., disbeliever, sinner) - indeed, for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live. (Ta Ha 20:74)

And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, ' Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.' "And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze." And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. (Al-Mulk 67:6-11)

The Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger." And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way." (Al-Ahzaab 33:66-67)
